To use our IT services you will need a University User ID. This ID is unique to you and enables you to use our services safely and securely. You will receive your User ID upon enrolment or when you join the University as a member of staff.
All users have two passwords, one for on-campus IT facilities and one for University systems. Both passwords are initially set to be your date of birth in this format: ddmmyyyy (day, month, year). You will need to change these to activate your accounts. Your new passwords will need:
- at least one upper case letter
- at least one lower case letter
- at least one number
- at least one punctuation mark
- at least eight characters
Campus Network Password
This password gives you access to all on-campus IT Facilities such as computers, printers/copiers and the printing credit kiosk/top-up machine.
This password can be reset in person by the Gateway or Library staff.
My Sunderland Password
This password gives you access to the University systems provided via MySunderland including University email, SunSpace, Canvas, Selfcare, Jira (Web Services), eVision, ePortfolio and My Library Account.
You can reset your My Sunderland Password via Selfcare. This password can also be reset in person by the Gateway staff.
